Harrietsham
Harrietsham is a village six miles from the county town of Maidstone. The parish is located on the slope of the North Downs east of Maidstone. Within its boundaries are settlements at Marley, Pollhill and Fairbourne
The village, six miles (6.4km) from the town, is bypassed by the A20 between Maidstone and Ashford although at one time all traffic passed through it. It is not the original site of the village, since the church is detached from it. It is noted in the Domesday Book.
With a population of around 1,504 it has a surprising number of business enterprises located in the area. This is due to the central location and ease of access to the motorways and the channel tunnel.
